Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 1 October 2026

Pre-launch notice. Muny is currently in test mode on Solana devnet, where tokens have no monetary value. The legal entity that operates Muny, its registered address and the governing law will be added here before Muny processes real-value transactions. Until then, “Muny”, “we” and “us” mean the operator of Muny, reachable at legal@muny.io.
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. It applies to everyone using Muny — individuals, businesses and developers — and to anyone you pay or receive payments from through Muny.

1. Restricted regions and persons#

You may not use Muny if you are located in, ordinarily resident in, or organised under the laws of:

  • a country or region subject to comprehensive sanctions — currently Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, and the Crimea, so-called Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic regions of Ukraine;
  • any place where using Muny or holding digital assets is illegal.

You also may not use Muny if you, or anyone who owns or controls you, appear on a sanctions list maintained by the United Nations, the United States (OFAC), the European Union or the United Kingdom, or if you act on behalf of such a person. You may not use Muny to pay or receive funds from such persons or regions. We may update this list as sanctions change and may block access from restricted locations.

2. Prohibited activities#

  • Anything illegal, including money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, tax evasion or sanctions evasion.
  • Scams, Ponzi or pyramid schemes, fake investment offers, or promising returns on $MUNY.
  • Market manipulation, wash trading or “pump-and-dump” activity involving $MUNY.
  • Selling illegal goods or services, weapons, controlled drugs, stolen data or counterfeit goods.
  • Unlicensed regulated activity — such as gambling, money transmission, lending or securities offerings — where a licence is required.
  • Impersonating Muny or anyone else, phishing, or misleading people about who you are.
  • Infringing intellectual property or privacy rights, or collecting people's data unlawfully through Muny.
  • Content involving the sexual exploitation of minors, or promoting violence or hate.

3. Protecting the platform#

  • Don't abuse sponsored fees — for example by sending large numbers of tiny transfers, creating accounts to multiply free sends, or scripting transactions to drain sponsorship.
  • Don't exceed rate limits deliberately, overload our infrastructure, or scrape the Services.
  • Don't probe, scan or test the security of Muny without permission — except as allowed by our responsible disclosure policy.
  • Don't share or sell API keys or accounts, or access accounts that aren't yours.
  • Don't interfere with other users, or reverse-engineer the Services except where the law allows.

4. Enforcement#

If we reasonably believe this policy has been breached we may warn you, hold or decline transactions we haven't broadcast, limit features, revoke API keys, suspend or close accounts, and report activity to authorities where required. Report abuse to support@muny.io.
